01

Overview

An organisational site for a foundation: programme pages, impact reporting, volunteer and donation pathways, structured so trust is established before anyone is asked to give.

02

The problem

The foundation's work was documented in reports and photo albums nobody outside the team ever saw. Donors and partners had no single credible page explaining programmes, reach or how to contribute.

03

Approach

  1. 01Structured content around programmes rather than internal departments, matching how donors search.
  2. 02Built an impact section with concrete figures and imagery instead of generic mission language.
  3. 03Created clear, repeated pathways: donate, volunteer, partner — each with its own short form.
  4. 04Kept the build lightweight so it loads fast on constrained mobile connections.
04

Strategy & UX decisions

  • Mission first, ask second — the donate and volunteer routes stay visible without crowding the story.
  • Programme pages are structured so a funder can verify scope and impact in under a minute.
  • Lightweight pages tuned for low-bandwidth mobile access.
05

Challenges

  • Turning long-form report content into scannable web sections without losing credibility.
  • Designing donation prompts that feel respectful rather than aggressive.
  • Making the site fast on low-bandwidth mobile networks where most visitors arrive.
06

Learnings

  • →Non-profit conversion is a trust sequence: evidence first, ask second.
  • →Concrete numbers outperform mission statements in every donor conversation.
  • →Performance is an accessibility issue when your audience is on mobile data.
07

Tech & tooling

  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Form-to-email workflows
  • Responsive imagery
  • Custom domain
08

Outcome

  • One credible public home for programmes and impact.
  • Donation and volunteer enquiries arrive structured instead of via DM.
  • Fast, readable experience on low-bandwidth connections.
